local school districts cover Jackson County, and all three districts
just completed top-to-bottom construction projects that either
renovated or replaced every school building in the county. The
total value of the recently constructed facilities exceeds $130
million dollars, with tax support from both the local communities
and from the state of Ohio.

civic pride, a downtown street festival is celebrated every
year in Wellston, Jackson, and in Oak Hill, in addition to a
number of smaller community events and the ever-popular Jackson
County Fair.
